On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the Radio Masters Sales Summit hosted by Radio Ink celebrated the exceptional achievers in the realm of radio sales by announcing the finalists for the prestigious 2023 Radio Wayne Awards.
These awards, which pay tribute to the legacy of Wayne Cornils, a luminary whose profound dedication to the radio industry left an indelible mark, were established in honor of his enduring influence. Eric Rhoads, the Founder of Radio Ink, envisioned Wayne Cornils as a role model for others in the industry due to his unwavering passion.
The 31st annual edition of these awards took place at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott, drawing a large and enthusiastic crowd. Notably, the winners were selected through a meticulous “blind” judging process, ensuring that the judges remained unaware of the identities of the finalists they were evaluating.
Columbus Radio Group was ecstatic to learn its very own General Sales Manager & Director of Marketing, Michelle Hurley, was among the top winners; taking home the coveted Radio Wayne Award for the DOS/Sales Manager of the Year (Markets 21+).
