Co-host Dino Tripodis’ wrote the nomination:  You Can’t Spell Gracie Without Stacy…

Time and years spent in a career isn’t always the measure of its success. It’s what’s been consistently accomplished in those years that makes it shine. Stacy McKay has been the light that’s radiated from the moment she became a morning radio host. Over the past 25 years she hasn’t just developed a loyal listenership so much as she’s established a friendship with the Columbus, Ohio audience that continues to make new friends with each passing day.  A trusted voice in good times and bad, Stacy McKay continues to be those rare commodities in radio: sincere, honest, and vulnerable.   Whether it’s a love for raising awareness for Nationwide’s Children Hospital (and over 5 million dollars), being an advocate and influencer for The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, or a longtime host for the Go Red For Women movement with the American Heart Association, Stacy has given her time, talents and commitment 100% of the time.  Couple that with a spontaneous wit and insightful observations about what we ALL go through in life, you realize that her subtle “grace” is simply another attribute that Stacy imparts, shares and continues to embrace her audience with both IN and OUT of the studio on a daily basis. If Gracie Allen were alive today, she and Stacy McKay would’ve become fast friends as they are cut from the same radio cloth.

“As we close out Women’s History Month, it is important to remember the legacy of Gracie Allen, the inspiration behind these esteemed awards,” AWMF President Becky Brooks said in a press statement. “This year’s recipients exemplify Gracie Allen’s spirit through their exceptional talent, innovation, and vision. Their steadfast dedication to their craft and their tenacious resolve to break boundaries serve as a compelling testament to the essential role women play in molding the cultural landscape.”
