Focus group assists in corporate rebrand

DarcyOur relationship with The Solution Store began many years ago, with a simple homework assignment. I was the Marketing Director with the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, and we were looking for a unique way to get inside Central Ohio Schools, so that parents of student-athletes would think about us first, in case the unthinkable would happen, and they or their child suffered a severe injury.

From this simple assignment, the Sunny 95 School Spirit Photo Contest was created, and the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence became the title sponsor. The 10-week contest was a huge success, generating a huge buzz and participation among all the Central Ohio school districts, as well as becoming a wonderful branding mechanism for our practice. At the end of the contest, we presented the winning school a $5,000 check, to be used for their sports programs! The presentation also included a lunch party for the entire school, compliments of Roosters! People are still talking about it…

Our relationship with The Solution Store only grew stronger over the years, and I most recently reached out to them with an even bigger, rather different kind of assignment! Our practice was merging with another large Orthopedic practice, and we needed help creating not only a name for the new brand, but new branding statements and strategies! After many hours of brainstorming in conjunction with The Solution Store team, we had many great ideas. Using their database of Loyal Listeners, they facilitated a number of in-depth focus groups to test out our new branding concepts with Central Ohio women. In early March of 2014, our new Orthopedic One signs were up, and we’re extremely confident in our new strategy, thanks to the hard work of our friends and family at The Solution Store.

If you think The Solution Store is all about radio, you’re wrong. If your business is in need of an internal solution, simply give them a homework assignment.
